Complete Dentures
Full upper and lower dentures, commonly referred to as complete dentures, are prosthetic devices designed to replace all of the natural teeth in the upper and lower jaws. These dentures are an effective solution for individuals who have lost all of their teeth due to factors such as decay, gum disease, or injury.
A full upper denture consists of a flesh-colored acrylic base that covers the roof of the mouth (palate) and artificial teeth securely attached to the base.
The upper denture relies on suction which comes from an intimate fit with the oral tissues, creating a seal around the border, and uses the natural contours of the palate for stability.

A full lower denture is designed to fit the lower jaw and is shaped to accommodate the tongue. The base is also made of acrylic, and artificial teeth are carefully arranged for optimal function and aesthetics.
Lower dentures face more challenges in terms of stability due to the movement of the tongue and the smaller surface area for suction. This may lead some individuals to consider implant-supported dentures for enhanced stability.
All dentures are manufactured in our laboratory, located on site at Gymea Denture Clinic.
